By combining materials that would not normally stand side by side, Lew’s work asks us to reflect on the idea that multiple truths can coexist despite conflicting foundations. Her work attempts to balance opposing forces, allowing the viewer to recognize familiar terrestrial aspects, but also confront otherworldly components.
