Dear Frock Community,

When we shared the news of Frock’s closure after 23 years, we were overwhelmed by the love, support, and kind messages we received. It was a powerful reminder of how much this community means—not only to us, but to so many of you.

Today, we’re delighted to share some happy news: Frock will continue under new ownership.

Katia Dion, founder of Gank in Montreal and a longtime friend and collaborator of Frock, has acquired the business and will lead its next chapter. Katia has been part of the Frock story for many years (she often jokes that Cathryn was her very first customer nearly 20 years ago), and her warmth, creativity, and energy make her a natural fit for what comes next. She’ll be joined by Melody, who will continue as Operations Manager and remain a familiar face behind the scenes.

We also want to thank Jim for his 23 years with Frock and for the care and dedication he brought to the business in recent years. His stewardship helped carry Frock through a challenging period and made this next chapter possible. We’re also happy to share that he’ll remain part of the extended Frock family, and you’ll still see him from time to time.

While there’s exciting change ahead, the heart of Frock remains the same: community, connection, and a thoughtful, personal approach to style. Alongside that foundation comes fresh energy, new ideas, and a shared excitement for what Frock can become.

We’re currently getting the space ready and hope to reopen in early July. We can’t wait to welcome you back.
