WASTED EFFORT is bold, weird, fun jewelry and housewares: clean lines, abstract, organic shapes and effortlessly wearable pieces make up this line of offbeat accessories.

Traditional metalsmithing techniques in sterling silver, brass and gold are paired with non-traditional materials, such as lucite, acetate and glass, to create unique pieces designed to fit seamlessly into the wearer’s everyday rotation.

The designer, Marie Foxall, hand-makes each piece herself in her studio in Montreal’s Plateau. A mostly self-taught jeweler, Marie’s background in mathematics informs her design process through precision, replication of natural shapes and an outsider’s perspective of what jewelry can be.

All Wasted Effort jewelry is lovingly cut, shaped, soldered and polished by hand, piece-by-piece. Each piece in the collection is treated as a sculptural work of art.
